Day 1: Fly USA to Siem Reap, CAMBODIA.

 

Day 2: Siem Reap, CAMBODIA
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. (D)

 

Day 3: Siem Reap - Angkor Temples
The day is devoted to an in-depth exploration of the fascinating “Lost City of Angkor”. Once the capital of the ancient Khmer empire, which ruled the area from the 9th to the 13th century, the city and its fascinating temples were slowly covered by jungle until the city was lost to civilization. The temples were rediscovered at the end of the 19th century, the jungle was cleared over the next 70 years to reveal the “8th Wonder of the World” – the ancient Temples of Angkor Wat – today a UNESCO Heritage sight. After a buffet breakfast at your hotel, your morning tour will take you to explore the south gates of Angkor Thom, Bayan,
BaphounTemple, Elephant Terrace, the Royal enclosure and the Terrace of the Leper King. A break for lunch at a local restaurant. The afternoon is reserved for a visit to Ta Phrom and the magnificent main Temples of Angkor Wat! End the day with dinner at a popular local restaurant, such as the “Red Piano”, a favorite of actress Angelina Jolie during the filming of the Tomb Raider movies. Return to the hotel or explore the vibrant night market and return to the hotel on own. (B, L, D)

 

Day 4: Siem Reap

A full free day to enjoy this exotic city at your own pace! Take an optional excursion to visit the Silk farm, the Alligator farm, the Old Market or simply laze by your hotel pool soaking up the sun and relax!
 

Day 5: Siem Reap – Chnok Tru Floating Village 
EMBARKATION

Today, you are transfer to the pier to board your home away from home, the RV Toum Tiou II. Meet the crew for an information meeting as you cross the huge Tonle SapLake(B, L, D)

 

Day 6: Chnok Tru - Kampong Chnang 

After breakfast, depart on a visit to Chnok Tru floating village. Return to the ship for lunch while sailing to Kampong Chnang. On arrival visit the village and its environment. Located some 90 kilometers from Phnom Penh, the town of Kampong Chnang is one of the largest fishing ports on the Tonlé Sap. Fish farming is also widely practiced in the area. The area is famous for its pottery ware, unchanged in style for centuries, which is produced in sufficient quantities to supply the entire country. And not to be overlooked are the products of the Thnot tree (sugar palm – a real national symbol) that  abounds in the area: a mellow tasting, caramel-colored sugar sold in large cakes and palm wine. Return to the ship for dinner. Day 7: Kampong Chang - Kampong Tralach

This morning, enjoy a city tour of Kampong Chang by tuk tuk and visit a local market. Return to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Kampong Tralach. (B, L, D)

Day 8: Phum Thmei
Enjoy breakfast and a leisurely morning at sail including a discussion on Cambodia past and present held by your Cruise manager and/or local guide. Lunch on board. Arrive Phum Thmei in the afternoon. Literally known as the  “new village”, passengers can get an insight into Cambodian life, during their visit ashore. Return to the ship for dinner as you sail on toward Kampong Cham.(B, L, D)

 

Day 9: Kampong Cham
After breakfast, disembark for a tour of Kampong Cham followed by a visit to the famous Angkor Temple of Nokor Bachey and the ruins of a pagoda located on Phnom Pros Hill, (“Man’s hill”) located in front of Phnom Srey (“the Woman’s hill”). Return to the ship for lunch and set sail for Kratie. The afternoon is reserved for enjoying a cooking lesson with our Chef, as he unravels the key secrets of Cambodia’s finest, traditional dishes. Dinner and overnight at anchor. (B, L, D)

 

Day 10: Kratie
Upon your morning arrival in Kratie, enjoy a walking tour, including a local market. After lunch, the fun begins as passengers will attempt to catch a picture of the unique fresh water Irrawaddy dolphins. Finally, this tropical day will end the Farewell cocktail and Captain's dinner. (B, L, D)

 

Day 11: Wat Hanchey – Phnom Penh

DISEMBARKATION
Breakfast. In Wat Hanchey depart on a walking tour of this riverside town including the pre-Angkorian temple on the hill. Return to the ship and set sail for Phom Penh. Lunch on board. The afternoon is free to enjoy the passing vista’s, participate in a casual question and answer discussion about Cambodia with your local guide. Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, you are transferred to your hotel. (B, L, D)

 

Day 12: Phnom Penh
After breakfast, depart on a full day tour of Cambodia’s capital. First visit the TuolSlengMuseum, the infamous S-21 prison and place of torture and death for thousands of innocent Cambodians at the hands of the Khmer Rouge regime, made world famous by the movie “The Killing Fields”. Then return to the city for lunch at a local restaurant followed by a city sightseeing tour that will include the NationalMuseum and the RoyalPalace. Te rest of the evening is free of activities to allow you to shop for those last minute souvenirs and enjoy the city on your own. Overnight at your hotel. Dinner is on your own. (B, L)


Day 13:
Phnom Penh- HOME
Enjoy a final breakfast prior to transferring to the airport for your flights home. (B)
