DAY 1: HANOI, VIETNAM
Upon arrival to Hanoi, transfer to your hotel. Due to various flight arrival times in the afternoon and evening, no meals or other activities are planned for today.

DAY 2: HANOI
Begin your day visiting the Temple of Literature, a peaceful series of walled courtyards and graceful gateways, and one of the best surving examples of traditional Vietnamese architecture.  Continue to the miniature One Pillar Pagoda and the vast Ho Chi Minh Memorial Complex, a lovely park setting which is home to Ho Chi Minh's final resting place. Begin at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where visitors can pay respects to the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh. Continue through the park to his stilt house, the simple two-room dwelling where Ho Chi Minh lived from 1948 until his final days. After lunch at a local restaurant,  head to Hoan Kiem Lake, located in heart of Hanoi, which contains an islet with the small Tortoise Pagoda. Enroute, pass other colonial landmarks such as the magnificent Opera House and St Joseph’s Cathedral. From the lake, begin exploring the old quarter by cyclo. End your day of sightseeing with a unique performance of the Water Puppet Show. (B, L, D)

DAY 3: HANOI -  HO CHI MINH CITY
Enjoy breakfast in the morning, prior to transferring to the airport for your included flight to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). Upon arrival enjoy a sightseeing tour of this bustling capital. Sights you will see will include the Post Office, built by Gustave Eiffel, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Presidential Palace. Dinner at a local restaurant will be followed by check-in and overnight at your 5* deluxe hotel.  (B, D)

DAY 4: HO CHI MINH CITY - MY THO
EMBARKATION
After breakfast and check-out, depart on an excursion to the fascinating Cu Chi Tunnels. Built during the Vietnam War to protect from bombing raids, the tunnels extend underground for over 212 km and range in depth from 3 to 12 meters! They feature remnants of a living city; schools, community kitchens, sleeping quarters, hospitals as well as military production facilities. Return to the city and enjoy a Vietnamese style lunch at a local restaurant. Then transfer to the pier to embark your floating hotel. Tonight meet your crew and enjoy a welcome cocktail followed by dinner, as you set sail on your fabulous Mekong adventure! (B, L, D)

DAY 5:  MY THO – CAI BE/VINH LONG
Today, your  sightseeing tour of My Tho will begin by crossing the river on local boats. Then, a visit by bus to the Vinh Trang pagoda will be followed by a panoramic tour of the city along the way with stop at a local market. Afterwards, return to the pier and visit Thoi Son island in local boats. (B, L, D)

DAY 6: CAI BE - VINH LONG - SA DEC
This morning, visit Cai Be floating market by local boats. Then continue to Vinh Long Island located in the center of the Delta. Called the "Majestic Dragon", it is home to vast orange and tangerine plantations. Return to the ship and depart for Sa Dec. Upon arrival, enjoy a city tour. (B, L, D)

DAY 7: CHAU DECK - BORDER CROSSING – PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA
In Chau Doc, you sightseeing will begin with a visit to the village of the local minority Cham community in local boats. Lunch will be served at the Victoria Hotel. Then, continue to the border. The formalities will be conducted on board. Late tonight, arrive in Phnom Penh. (B, L, D)

DAY 8: PHNOM PENH
After breakfast, tour the capital of Cambodia which has retained its French colonial charm. Your morning sightseeing will include the Royal Palace complex and the National Museum. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to Tuol Sleng Museum (Killing Fields), infamous place of torture and death for thousands of innocent Cambodians at the hands of the Khmer Rouge regime. End your day on a lighter note by visiting the Russian Market, a great place for buying souvenirs. Return to the ship for an enchanting Apsara Dance Performance by local children followed by dinner. The balance of the evening is free. (B, L, D)

DAY 9: PHOM PENH - KAMPONG TRALACH
Morning at leisure. Around lunch time, depart for Kampong Tralach. On arrival to Kampong Tralach, tour the village and rice plantations including the century old Vihara pagoda. Return to the ship and continue sailing. Dinner on board. (B, L, D)

DAY 10: KAMPONG CHHNANG - FLOATING VILLAGE - CHNOK TRU
Kampong Chhnang, located about 56 miles from Phnom Penh is one of Cambodia’s largest fishing ports and the center of fish farming. It is also famous for its archaic pottery making which supplies the whole country. Enjoy a morning tour. Return to the ship for lunch and sail on to Chnok Tru. Upon arrival, embark  local boats and visit the biggest “Floating Village” on the Tonle Sap! See the people living on boats, floating rafts including a stop at the local “floating” Catholic Church! The smiles of the local children are priceless! The evening is reserved for our festive Captain's Farewell Dinner!  (B, L, D)

DAY 11: CHNOK TRU - SIEM REAP
DISEMBARKATION
High water: Early this morning, set sail and observe the local farmers, water buffalo and other unspoiled views as the Toun Tiou II crosses the vast 150 km wide Tonle Sap Lake (approximate sailing time is 4 to 5 hrs). On arrival to the port (located 35 to 45 min. from the town) bid your wonderful crew and ship goodbye as you disembark and transfer to the city for the next part of your adventure (arrival around 12:30)! Check-in to your hotel.
Low water:  After breakfast, you will cross the Tonle Sap Lake via speed boat or hydrofoil (approximately 3 hrs) arriving at Siem Reap port around 11:30. Hotel check-in.
PM: In the afternoon, depart by bus on your introductory tour of this fast growing gateway to the Angkor Temples. Stops will include the Artists d'Angkor Arts and Crafts Center. The tour will end in the town center where you will delight in a walking tour through the lively streets prior to enjoying dinner at either the "Red Piano" restaurant, a favorite of actress Angelina Jolie during her filing of the "Tomb Raider" movies or at the air conditioned “Champey” Restaurant nearby. After dinner, free time to explore the lively downtown night life featuring night bazaars, cafe's and night club. Return to the hotel on your own. (B, D)

DAY 12: SIEM REAP - ANGKOR TEMPLES
The day is devoted to an in-depth exploration of the fascinating “Lost City of Angkor”. Once the capital of the ancient Khmer empire, which ruled the area from the 9th to the 13th century, the city and its fascinating temples were slowly covered by jungle until the city was lost to civilization. The temples were rediscovered at the end of the 19th century, the jungle was cleared over the next 70 years to reveal the “8th Wonder of the World” – the ancient Temples of Angkor Wat – today a UNESCO Heritage sight. After a buffet breakfast at your hotel, your morning tour will take you to explore the south gates of Angkor Thom, Bayan, Baphoun Temple, Elephant Terrace, the Royal enclosure and the terrace of the Leper King. A break for lunch will be held al fresco at the popular FCC club nearby. The afternoon is reserved for a visit to Ta Phrom and the magnificent main Temples of Angkor Wat. End the day with dinner at another local restaurant and then transfer to your hotel. (B, L, D)

DAY 13: SIEM REAP
A full free day to do as you please! Sleep in and enjoy your hotel pool and amenities, explore the town and shop at the local market for those last minute souvenirs or take the optional half day “Tuk-Tuk” tour (motorized tricycle) which will whisk you around town with stops at the local Alligator Farm, the Wat Bo Pagoda and the renowned village of Artisan’s d’ Angkor where local artists will introduce you to the traditional techniques of wood carving, stone sculpting and lacquer work with explanations from your guide. The balance of the day is free and meals are on your own. Transfer to the airport for late night flights home*. (B)

DAY 14: SIEM REAP* – HOME
As all good things must come to an end, so does your wonderful exploration of this unique part of Southeast Asia! After a final breakfast, check-out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your homebound flights. (B)

* Last night Seim Reap substitution: Many flights depart Siem Reap around midnight for connections back to North America. Depending on airline schedules, the last night in Siem Reap may be substituted for an overnight in another Asian Gateway (Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul and similar). If purchasing air from us, we will arrange for a day room/ or 1 night bed at a first class hotel at your connecting gateway city without charge!
